01Who will actually turn up to do the work?
The same plumber every time. Vision Plumbing is one man, not a call centre with a list of subcontractors. The person who answers the phone is the person who comes out, quotes the job and does the work, so nothing gets lost between the booking and the visit.
02Do you really answer emergencies through the night?
Yes. The 24-hour emergency call-out is his own promise. For a burst pipe or a leak you cannot stop, turn off the stopcock first, then ring 07379 636676. He will talk you through what to do while he is on his way.
03What areas do you cover?
Based near Sevenoaks and working across Kent, Medway, Surrey, East and West Sussex and south-east London, roughly an hour's drive. The areas page lists the towns covered; if yours is close to one of them, ask.
04Can you give me a price over the phone?
Not an honest one for most jobs. He talks the problem through first, then quotes once he has seen what has failed and what the fix involves. You get the quote before any work starts.
05Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. There is a one year warranty on parts and labour for the work he carries out. If something he fitted or repaired fails in that year, he comes back and puts it right.
06Do you work on boilers or gas appliances?
No. Vision Plumbing does plumbing, drainage and hot water work, including unvented cylinders and immersion heaters. Boilers and anything on the gas supply need a registered gas engineer, and he will say so plainly rather than take the job.
